Professional Experience

My Children are grown, with families of their own, and I now have the time to give back to the City which has given so much.  After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, I spent over 30 years working for the family business, Alamo Fireworks, Inc., as Chief Operating Officer.  My responsibilities included executive decisions on issues such as new fireworks locations and employee jobs and organization; developing efficient accounting practices; and the day-to-day inventory management.  This experience will translate easily into my job as Councilwoman, since I will be required to make decisions on financial issues, evaluate the merits of old and new city projects, and make projections for future plans for our city.

Currently, I am on the Board of Adjustments for the City of Olmos Park, where I have been asked to make decisions on building issues in the city.  I plan on continuing my service to the city as Councilwoman.

When I am elected, I will carefully study all the issues and thoughtfully consider the impact on our city.  I will encourage stability and open communication with all parties involved.  I will follow a path of long term planning and continue the preservation of the character and integrity of our neighborhood.  I am excited to work on the Olmos Park City Council.
